Pastor¹ Jonathan A.T. Vierkant

Pastor Vierkant was born and raised in East Texas.  He attended Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon, Wisconsin and Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri graduating in 2005.  His vicarage was at Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin under the supervision of Rev. Dennis Schueler.  He served as pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Aliceville, Kansas from 2005 to 2007.  He also served as a resident chaplain at Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics in Tyler, Texas for the Clinical Pastoral Education Program from 2007 to 2008.  He has completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education training. In addition, he served as a vacancy pastor at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Mount Pleasant, Texas from 2007 to 2008.  He was installed to serve as Pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Franklin, Indiana on January 4, 2009 by Rev. Daniel May, President, Indiana District LCMS.  Pastor Vierkant met his wife Katie (a native of Lafayette, Indiana) while serving as a resident field worker at Hope Lutheran Church in St. Louis, Missouri.  They were joined in marriage at St. James Lutheran Church in Lafayette, Indiana on January 14, 2006.
